I am truly delighted to be the Headteacher of The Keystone Academy and am pleased to welcome you to our website.   

 At the Keystone Academy, part of The YES Trust, our moral purpose is clear: Transforming lives.  This shared vision shapes and guides everything we strive to achieve throughout our school as we aim to make a difference to every child and their future.  

 We are a specialist school based in Shrewsbury, dedicated to supporting pupils aged between 4-16, with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) and neurodivergent needs.  With the vision: Be yourself. Be brilliant, we nurture our pupils to become comfortable with their differences, learning to love their uniqueness and to find the bright and meaningful future that inspires them to be their best self.  To enable our pupils to achieve ‘brilliance’, we are dedicated to preparing them with the courage, confidence, resilience and skills to flourish in the world, achieving the highest possible outcomes.   

 Our core values are at the heart of everything we do.  We are child-centred, ensuring every decision and action we make is in the best interests of our children. We are adaptive and sensitive to need, understanding that our pupils and their families are each unique, with differing experiences, strengths and challenges.  We have a staff team who are skilled at working flexibly to meet the needs of our children in all contexts.  And finally, we are authentic in our relationships, meaning we place value in nurturing positive and honest relationships with all stakeholders, including our pupils, their families, the wider community, as well as the staff team itself.  We place high importance on collaboration and will always work together to achieve the very best opportunities and outcomes for our pupils.
