School Meals – Old page
The Keystone Academy provides healthy and balanced meal options which also provide value for money. We strongly believe there is a link between a healthy diet and the ability to learn effectively. Whilst we encourage healthy eating at Keystone Academy, we recognise that some children may have dietary requirements and / or sensory issues relating to food. We will always work with children and families to create a positive environment around food and will be flexible where we can.
We are excited to announce that from January 2024, our school meals will be freshly cooked and served on site by our catering partner, Caterlink. The menu will be set to a 3 weekly rotation and will include a choice of hot meals, vegetarian options, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, a salad bar and dessert options.
Pupils who would like a school meal can choose from the menu each morning. The latest menu is available here:
The cost of a school meal will be £2.50 per day (no charge for those eligible for free school meals).
In addition, all pupils will be offered healthy snacks and drinks during the school day. There will be no charge for this.
Parents/Carers are requested wherever possible, to pay in advance by cash or via the Arbor Parent Portal or App. It would be preferable for parents to pay via the Parent Portal, however daily or weekly cash payments will be accepted at the main school office (please ensure these are sent in an envelope with your child’s name).
Pupils who wish to bring in a packed lunch from home are welcome to do so. Pupils bringing in their own packed lunch and/or snacks, are asked not to bring in fizzy drinks or sweets.
