At The Keystone Academy we believe that to prepare young people for life in the modern world, not only is it important to focus upon qualifications and career pathways but it is also vital to focus upon the skills needed to be resilient and mentally healthy. It is this attention to building resilience that enables people to cope with the inevitable ‘ups and downs’ of life.
With this in mind, we adopt a school-wide approach to raising awareness and promoting positive attitudes to wellbeing and mental health. Alongside our taught PSHE curriculum, we provide bespoke approaches, support and interventions, aimed at building confidence and learning strategies that are relevant to each individual.
To help us achieve this bespoke approach, we are lucky enough to have a full time Mental Health Counsellor (Louise Warrener) who is available to support any young person who wants it. To access this support, in the first instance, please contact Louise or Gabe Gray (Pastoral Lead).
