What is interesting about Outdoor Studies?

Outdoor studies teaches us about the world around us in numerous ways. In outdoor education, we develop socially and learn to collaborate, as well as how to be a leader. We learn a vast set of skills, from keeping ourselves and others safe, to being able to hone our skills in areas of outdoor learning that interest us; from conservation and woodland management to canoeing, mountaineering and bushcraft skills. Outdoor studies teaches us invaluable skills; to learn to self-regulate and look after ourselves, how to communicate and socialise with others as well as how to synthesise knowledge and theory and put it into practical skills and practice. The outdoors has something for everyone, from developing self-confidence and independence to enjoying great times in nature with friends. The outdoors is both our classroom and our playground where a multidisciplinary approach to learning can be lived.
